Financial Controller

Camino Search is partnering with an amazing private equity-backed tech firm, that has experienced sensational growth over the past 24 months. The business is looking to continue its impressive growth & capitalise on a variety of post-pandemic opportunities. As a result, the CFO is looking to bring on a Financial Controller to support the businesses next stage of evolution.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the CFO, helping to form the foundation for the future of the company. They're looking at acquisitive growth opportunities that will give candidates an opportunity to support the full M&A process & then when the time is right the eventual exit of the business. The CFO is extremely experienced in this technology vertical, so a great person to learn & develop from.

This is a great opportunity for someone who's come from a top 20 accounting firm & are looking for their first move into industry with an amazing technology company. Or someone that has come from an accounting firm, spent some time in industry & are looking for their next exciting growth journey.

The role:

  • Responsibility for P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring adherence to reporting timetables

  • Responsible for identification, implementation & improvements to business processes & control environment

  • Co-ordination of year-end audit and statutory account preparation

  • Managing the finance system, with the potential to implement a new system

  • Assist with analysis and integration of potential acquisitions

  • Assist with production of financial information for potential future change of ownership

  • Management and development of bookkeeper

  • Ad hoc analysis and support on a wide range of projects as they arise

Essential background:

  • ACA qualified

  • If coming from industry have worked in an SME

  • Understanding of Corporation Tax & VAT

  • Advanced Excel
