Job description

We are seeking an experienced Interim CFO to join a private equity-backed manufacturing SME, driving it towards a successful exit. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in manufacturing finance, finance function profesionalisation, and exit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Financial Leadership: Oversee all financial operations, providing strategic guidance to the executive team.

·       Exit Readiness: Prepare the company for a successful exit by enhancing financial processes, reporting, and compliance.

·       Stock Management: Implement and optimize inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock management and efficient distribution.

·       Process Automation: Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline financial and operational processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

·       Strategic Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth and exit objectives.

·       Reporting & Analysis: Deliver comprehensive financial reports and analyses to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

·       Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

·       Stakeholder Management: Liaise with private equity partners, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful collaboration.

Key Requirements:

·       Proven Experience: Significant experience as a CFO or senior financial executive within a manufacturing environment.

·       PE Portfolio Experience: Demonstrated success working with private equity-backed companies, particularly in preparing for and executing an exit.

·       Manufacturing Expertise: Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, including stock management and distribution processes.

·       Process Automation: Strong experience in automating financial and operational processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

·       Exit Readiness: Track record of preparing businesses for sale, including financial due diligence, optimizing financial performance, and managing the exit process.

·       Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.

·       Analytical Proficiency: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset.

·       Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
