Head of FP&A

The Head of Commercial Finance / Head of FP&A will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and commercial success. This role requires a deep understanding of retail, manufacturing (preferably in Asia), and European wholesale and sales.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both small companies and larger organizations, with a strong ability to navigate the complexities of a scale-up environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the FP&A function, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Conduct commercial analysis, including pricing, margins, and profitability assessments.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Manage the financial planning process, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
- Proven experience in a senior FP&A or commercial finance role, preferably within the retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in Asia, and importing into Europe.
- SME experience essential has worked for a business with revenues sub £50m
- Understanding of wholesale and European sales dynamics.
- Experience working in both small companies and larger organizations, with a preference for scale-up environments.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
